Torah Study > Chapter 6: Truth and Peace > Text 5

Pirkei Avot states that the world stands on three things: justice, truth,
and peace. (Avot 1:18) Which of these three does Rabin’s statement
most advance and most sacrifice?
When, if ever, should peace be the dominant value over justice or
truth?
In such a situation, what is the price of peace? Should it be paid?
What sort of courage did it take for Rabin to say this? What was he
risking?

Why or why not?
Would you recommend a similar approach by Israel’s leaders today?
